Creation of Our Edible Herbal Blends

As part of our initial product offerings, we wanted to be able to supply an array of options, from crystals and oils to useful tools, and more. Our goal is to have a variety of intentions in as many different modes to choose from as possible. As part of this, when it came to herbal blends, we wanted to ensure we had something safe to touch, taste, and pleasant to smell. Out of this, our edible herbal blends were born. 

Our initial decision was to start with five different intentions; Strength, Cleansing, Protection, Self Love, and Clarity. How these are interpreted or used is up to you, dear reader. 

Our resident Green Witch, Anita, took on the task of narrowing down lifetimes of compiled literacy into 5 unique blends that we are over the moon about!

“I began by tuning into the energies of my herb collection, and then I asked which herbs wanted to be a part of each blend. Listening to them and my intuition, I wrote down what came to mind. I then went through my years of personal grimoires, book of shadows, and notebooks; I primarily wanted to use the knowledge that I’d gleaned over the years. Carefully, I looked over my spellcasting results from years past and chose herbs accordingly. I also wanted these blends to be a wonderful taste experience, so I made up samplers of different options and tried them out with Bri. I have been working with herbs from the beginning of my witchcraft practice, and I am so happy to share my magic with you!” 

Once Anita had narrowed down the ingredients and measured out a sample, we got together to test them out. 

“Each blend was made into a single dosed vial which we cleansed, blessed and brewed in the following order; Cleansing, Protection, Self Love, Strength and Clarity. I chose this order specifically for the experience it would provide. The intention behind it was to rid ourselves of any negativity that may have followed us into this practice and to shut out any other influences that may come in. This allowed us to flow into the following 3 herbal blends with a fresh mind.” ~Bri. 

Whether you decide to use a blend individually, or in conjunction with our other products, we can promise, each one is a uniquely altering experience. 

“I’m finding it hard to describe what it felt like as we experienced each blend. I am also hesitant to use any strong descriptions, as I do not wish to influence each individual’s unique experience. But in the spirit of transparency, I will endeavour to try. 

I remember the gentle feeling of cool waves washing away the darkness when we started with the Cleansing blend. Later, the warmth that surged through my heart and then body, respectively, when drinking the Self Love blend.” ~Bri

While the intentions will remain, it is important to understand that everyone will experience things in different ways based on their histories, talents, and mindsets at the time. It may be subtle or transformative. Whatever it may be, we know we have made something that will be exactly what you need when you need it. All we ask is that you open your heart to it.

“I would like to share, that as part of our impromptu tea ceremony, I involved small, intuitive actions that lent to the intensity of our experience. Things like swirling the cups 3 times clockwise before sipping. Breathing in the steam and essences to involve more senses. We even went so far as to offer the herbs back to the river once we were done.” ~Bri

By no means are these actions required to enjoy our herbal blends. You may not even want to make it a tea. These are yours to use how you choose. We hope that in sharing our experiences and steps we have in some way inspired you and your practice to try something new. And know that whatever you need, we are here for support, resources or just a listening ear, should you want to share your practice with the community we are building.
